The Tooth Fairy in the UK
The tooth fairy in the UK flies from houses to hotels, apartments and everywhere. She flies anywhere where children have lost a tooth that day.
Usually the children place their tooth under their pillow at night, but sometimes they leave it in a glass of water near their bed.
If a child get’s a little frightened that the tooth fairy will be visiting whilst they are asleep, that’s ok.
The tooth fairy understands this. So if a child prefers, they can leave their tooth in another room, such as the kitchen.
At some point, but only when everyone is asleep. The tooth fairy will arrive to exchange the tooth for perhaps some money, a gift, rewards, wishes or something else.
This exchange happens as quick as a flash. With a small sparkle of fairy dust, some good old fashioned magic, the tooth and the fairy are gone.
You can learn a little more about the tooth fairy on our about page. Or you may prefer to find a new place for the the tooth fairy to visit in the search box.
Our aim is also to educate children about the importance of looking after their teeth. The tooth fairy recommends you visit the fabulous NHS website. Once there you can search for Children’s teeth for more information on your child’s oral hygiene.
This website offers children, parents and grandparents the opportunity to interact with the tooth fairy. Arrange a tooth fairy visit in the UK, play and learn on the activity pages.
You can even explain with messages or downloadable notes what has happened when a child’s tooth has gone missing, which is a very useful feature to some families!
